User Action Result
Open your browser software and access the ECMS Welcome page. The ECMS Welcome page is displayed with the navigation bar on the left.
Using the Registered Users Login fields at the top of the navigation bar, enter your user ID and password. Click GO or tap the Enter key. The ECMS Welcome page appears. Your user name now appears at the top of the navigation bar, and the navigation bar options are tailored to your security group(s).
From the navigation bar, select the Project Services option. The Project Services options available to your user group are displayed.
Select the Projects option. The Projects home page is displayed.
Enter search criteria in one or more of the search fields and click the SEARCH FOR PROJECTS button. The Projects list is displayed and includes the project for which you entered search criteria.
Click the Project Number hyperlink for the desired project. The Project Information screen for the specified project is displayed.
Use the down arrow icon at the upper left of the display to jump to the bottom of the screen. The lower portion of the screen is displayed.
Click the EDIT button. The screen switches to edit mode.
Enter the number in the MPMS Number field, then select the Phase from the drop-down list. Click the Add button. The system validates the MPMS Number and Phase in the MPMS system, ensuring that the combination number/phase exist and that the corresponding MPMS project is in Approved status within MPMS.

If the MPMS Number/Phase are validated, they are added to the embedded table, along with the related data from MPMS (e.g., District, County, SR).

Continue adding MPMS numbers, if desired. As the numbers are added, they appear in the embedded table, along with the related data from MPMS.
To delete and MPMS number and its related data, Delete checkbox to the left of the row and click the SAVE button. A confirmation message is displayed asking you to confirm that you want to delete the information. Click OK on the message box. The data is deleted, and you are returned to the Project Information screen.
If necessary, designate one of the MPMS numbers as the lead by selecting the appropriate radio button in the Lead column. The radio button you selected appears with a darkened center. Remember that the MPMS number populates the Project Header fields, so data you entered or modified in those fields may need to be reviewed.

Note: An MPMS number can be the lead for only one ECMS project. If a project already exists with the same MPMS number as its lead, the system displays a warning message, and you must select a different MPMS number as the lead. If you add a new MPMS Number and designate it as the lead, it will not change the ECMS Project Number, which will remain the same as the original MPMS lead.

When you are satisfied with the data on the Program Data tab, click the SAVE button. The project is saved, and a ‘save successful’ message is displayed. You remain on the Project Information screen.
