On the Design Items list, all the items you selected have a Quantity of '1' and a Unit Price of $0.00; you will need to access the Item Details screen for each item to update the quantity and unit price, and to enter the modified description.</FONT></I></P></TD></TR>

Description

This function allows users to enter one or more modified standard items to the Design Items list. Step-by-Step Instructions

User Action Result
Open your browser software and access the ECMS Welcome page. The ECMS Welcome page is displayed with the navigation bar on the left.
Using the Registered Users Login fields at the top of the navigation bar, enter your user ID and password. Click GO or tap the Enter key. The ECMS Welcome page appears. Your user name now appears at the top of the navigation bar, and the navigation bar options are tailored to your security group(s).
From the navigation bar, select the Project Services option. The Project Services options available to your user group are displayed.
Select the Project Home Page option. The Projects home page is displayed.
Enter search criteria in one or more of the search fields and click the SEARCH FOR PROJECTS button. The Projects list is displayed and includes the project for which you entered search criteria.
Select “Design Items” from the Select Destination Screen drop-down list, then click the Project Number hyperlink. The Design Items screen is displayed.
Use the down arrow icon at the upper left of the display to jump to the bottom of the screen. The lower portion of the screen is displayed.

Select “Item Number” or “Description” from the Search By radio button group. The selected radio button appears with a darkened center
Select “Modified” from the Item Type radio button group located beneath the Search For field. The selected radio button appears with a darkened center.
Enter two or more digits (if searching by item number) or the first word of the item description in the Search For field. The entry appears in the field. If searching by item number, the number must begin with 0, 1, 2, or 3. If searching by description, the text you enter must be the first word of the description; or, you must use the percent sign (%) to expand the search. For example, if the item description contains the word "corrugated", but it is not the first word, enter "%corrugated".
Click the SEARCH button. The Select From Master Items List screen appears in a separate browser window. The "Select Items to be Added" list on the screen displays all master items meeting your search criteria.

Note: When you select “Modified Standard” from the radio button options, the master items appear with ‘4’ added to the first digit. For example, if the master item is 1000-9999, the modified standard item appears in this list as 5000-9999.

Select the item you want to add from the “Select Items to be Added” list box by clicking the “X” in front of the item number. The selection is moved to the “Selected Items” list box.

Note: You can add multiple modified standard items simultaneously by clicking the "X" in front of each item then clicking the OK button. When you use this method, you are returned to the Design Items list instead of the Add Item to List screen. Enter the unit price in the Estimated Unit Price field. The amount you entered appears in the field.
If desired, enter the Fund Code to which the item should be linked. The fund code you entered appears in the field.

Note: If you enter a fund code that does not exist, the system automatically creates a record for the fund code in the Design Funding table. When you subsequently access the Funding Information screen, the new fund code will be available for you to enter details, and the item will already be linked to the new fund code.

If desired, select the Predetermined Price indicator. A checkmark appears in the field.
