View General Course Information

Description

This screen is part of the References subsystem and provides access General Course Information about one specific course at a time. The Training Calendar ‘General Course Information Screen provides part of the Training Calendar functionality and is accessed from links provided by the listing links on the Training Calendar Home Page under the REFERENCES heading. The General Course Information screen is displayed listing summary course information for each course.

The ‘General Course Information (view mode) screen can be accessed by the general public as well as registered ECMS Training Calendar Administrators.

Fields

Field Name	State	Description
Course Name	Protected – Read Only	This field displays the Course Name.
Tutor Course Id	Protected – Read Only	This field displays the Tutor Course Id if available.
Course Number	Protected – Read Only	This field displays the Course Number if available.
Organization	Protected – Read Only	This field displays the Sponsoring Organization for this course.
Functional Area	Protected – Read Only	This field displays the functional area classification for this course.
Course Summary	Protected – Read Only	This field displays the brief course summary description.
Learning Objective	Protected – Read Only	This field displays the learning objective for the course selected for the displayed course.
Course Outline	Protected – Read Only	This field contains a link to a course outline file. Click the link to view the course outline.
CEU’s	Protected – Read Only	This field displays the number of Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) associated with this course offering.
Prerequisites	Protected – Read Only	This field displays the related prerequisites.
Target Audience	Protected – Read Only	This field displays the targets audience recommended for this course.
Use Samples	Protected – Read Only	Displays the following text: “The sample questions/problems in the link below indicate the type and difficulty of this course. These questions/problems may be useful to determine whether this course would be beneficial to you.”
Sample Questions	Protected – Read Only	This field contains a link to a sample questions document. Click the link to view the sample questions file.
Special Materials	Protected – Read Only	This field contains any special materials associated with this course offering.
Test-Out Available	Protected – Read Only	This field displays whether a test-out is available for this course.
Final Exam	Protected – Read Only	This field displays whether a final exam is required for course completion.
Cost Function	Protected – Read Only	This field displays the cost function associated with this course.
Contact Name	Protected – Read Only	This field displays the name of the contact when information is required.
Contact Phone Number	Protected – Read Only	This field displays the phone number of the course contact.
Contact Fax Number	Protected – Read Only	This field displays the fax number of the course contact.
Contact Email	Protected – Read Only	This field displays the e-mail address of the course contact.
Contact CICS Address	Protected – Read Only	This field displays the CICS address of the course contact.
Location	Protected – Read Only (link)	This field displays the location of a specific offering of the course.
Start Date	Protected – Read Only	This field displays the start date and time of a specific offering of the course.
End Date	Protected – Read Only	This field displays the end date and time of a specific offering of the course.

Actions

Action	Description
Click BACK button	When the user clicks the BACK button, the previous screen is redisplayed.
Click EDIT button	When the user clicks the EDIT button, the general course information is displayed in edit mode. Note: This button is hidden unless the user is logged into the ECMS system as an ECMS Training Calendar Administrator.
Click Delete button	When the user clicks on the Delete button, a confirmation message is displayed for the user to verify deletion of the selected course and all associated detail records. Delete occurs if the user verifies their decision. Note: This button is hidden unless the user is logged into the ECMS system as an ECMS Training Calendar Administrator.
Click the Location Link	When the user clicks on Location link, Course Details for the selected course offering will be displayed.
